Energy Policy Statement

  • We recognise that our operations are energy-intensive in nature, form a key constituent of our business, and therefore require careful management to minimise the use of energy resources
  • The Company shall, through the application of suitable procedures and management activity, manage a continual improvement cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act) in regard to it's use of energy in its various forms; from it's arrival on site, to conversion, through to consumption. Central to this will be to seek to become certified to the Energy Management Standard, ISO 50001: 2011
  • The Company shall ensure the availability of information regarding its use of energy and the necessary resources to achieve its objectives and targets
  • The Company shall maintain up-to-date knowledge of it's legal and other requirements pertaining to its energy use, consumption and efficiency, and shall comply with those requirements
  • The Company shall, through it's management processes, provide and maintain the framework for setting and reviewing energy objectives and targets
  • The Company shall initiate and maintain procedures to implement the purchase of energy-efficient products and services, and design for energy improvement
  • This Policy is documented and promulgated by the Company's senior management. By means of various internal media, the Company communicates this policy at all levels within the organisation
  • This policy is regularly reviewed, annually, according to set procedure, and updated as necessary
