Cost Accountant

Location: Kendal, Cumbria Job Type: Temporary Fixed Term Date Posted: 08 February 2018 Ref.: TFP012 Application: 02 March 2018 Salary: You will work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility expected to meet the needs of the business. The salary for this role is £22,900 per year. This is a fixed term temporary position for 18 months to cover Maternity Leave.

TFP was established nearly 30 years ago and is part of James Cropper plc who have been trading for 170 years. TFP is a speciality wet-laid nonwoven manufacturer, producing a diverse range of high performance veils and mats for an array of challenging applications.

Job Profile

We have an excellent opportunity available for a Cost Accountant in TFP to cover maternity leave. Reporting to the TFP Finance Manager you will be responsible for the analysis of product costing and contribution in order to support key decision making to maximize profitability and drive business growth. You will also be expected to provide support to the Finance Department on other activities as required.

You will drive improvements in all processes and procedures, and you will be expected to report and communicate key information across a number of inter-dependent functions to steer performance, drive profitability and to support decision making.

You will be flexible and able to work to deadlines, prioritize work effectively and develop positive working relationships across Finance and the Division. You will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant experience in a finance role within a manufacturing business. AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualifications are desirable but not essential.
