Job Profile

We have an opportunity available for a Finance Accountant to manage the day-to-day running of the Group Finance office and to deliver timely monthly reporting for both PLC divisional accounts and those of the consolidated Group. Working with a small team you will be responsible for the smooth running and robust control over the cash and banking functions for the Group, which includes expenses, payments, treasury and currency management. Alongside the senior finance management team, you will work and collaborate to deliver reporting on PLC and Group performance, in all areas of profit, cash, balance sheet and working capital.

Flexibility to support the wider Finance team in all areas of management accounting, credit control, tax and statutory reporting, ad hoc projects and system management is required.

The ideal candidate is a confident and skilled financial accountant with strong administrative disciplines able to lead a team, build relationships and champion effective and efficient services to the wider Group. You must be able to determine priorities, communicate effectively, recognise the inter-dependency of teams and meet deadlines, create training and development plans and lead on system improvements.

Ideally suited to those with a strong level of Coda, Coda XL and Excel knowledge, you must have a high degree of competency in data checking, interpretation and the provision of financial insights. You will have had at least 5 years relevant past experience in financial accountancy and management, ideally within a manufacturing business. You should be professionally qualified Member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, the Institute of Chartered Accountants or The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
