Job Profile

We have a vacancy for a Trainee in the Paper Procurement Team to develop James Cropper’s procurement capability and talent for the future.

Procurement’s primary role is to obtain goods and services in response to the Business needs. Within this role you will provide support to the Raw Materials Function and develop commercial and Operational awareness. You will be supporting team projects that bring step change improvements across a range of activities. This will include diverse assignments, with increasing responsibility over the duration of the trainee programme.

The aim of the trainee programme is to develop an achievement based procurement professional who can influence change and improve supply chain performance in line with business needs.

You will be required to complete a Business qualification, followed by specialising in Procurement via professional training. This will allow you to grow skills and develop knowledge of the robust procedures and processes that are fundamental to the organisation.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic & proactive, with the ability to deliver results. The role requires a high level of accuracy & attention to detail with the ability to demonstrate collaborative team working and effective communication skills. Educated to A level, level 3 or equivalent standard.
